Dr. Nahab’s research focuses on the development of novel functional MRI-based methods to characterize the neural correlates of tremor disorders such as Parkinson Disease (PD) and Essential Tremor (ET).  He has also conducted phase I/II clinical trials of novel agents to treat ET.  Dr. Nahab travels internationally attending and speaking at conferences related to Essential Tremor research.

Joan Marie Barringer is a professional counselor who has had Essential Tremor since childhood.  She started the first Essential Tremor support group in Washington, DC at Georgetown University Hospital for the International Essential Tremor Foundation.  Joan Marie is an accomplished motivational speaker who enthusiastically educates groups through a holistic approach, encouraging individual participation and personal growth.
